Experiencing British Goodness @ The Royal Piccadilly!

Katipunan Area is probably one of the place that I am familiar with. Considering that I'm not even good with places (haha!) But then again, it came to me as a surprise when Zomato Philippines invited us to a dinner at
The Royal Piccadilly (Restaurant and Cakery).
Who would have thought that there's a hidden gem situated near Petron Gas Station? For those who are not familiar, there's a Petron Station near Ateneo along C.P Garcia, you will first notice the Jollibee and Bruno Barbers in that area. Just look at the second floor and then you will see The Royal Piccadilly.
The place will instantly transport you to a different place. A cakery and a pub into one.
Warm colored hues and different memorabilias to brighten up the place!
Different tea pots and ceramics that came all the way to London
Look how cute is this one!
Or you prefer this tiny motorcycle?
You might even ask, they also offer local and international beers!
Ofcourse, a cakery will not be complete without these various selections of pastries!
Moving on with the food, above photo is the scrumptious treats awaiting for us!
We were first served a freshly made popcorn and chips. Ohhh how I loved smelling the aroma of popping kernels!
They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Boyfie and I tried the Lemon and Ginger and it was quite refreshing. But I heard the brewed tea is their must try! :)
Coronation Chicken Salad- Fresh crisp and green veggies topped with mango slices, shredded chicken, grapes, then tossed in their curry dressing. One of the dishes that we loved that night especially boyfie (and take note that he's not even a fan of veggies). The unique curry dressing makes the dish really interesting. Not overpowering and made it just right. If there's one thing to say about this is that, the presentation can be improved, but taste wise, it's spot on!
Bangers and Mash (240 pesos) - Homemade sausage that was named after the way they were cooking the sausages during war wherein the sausage will burst and bang while cooking. What stood out from the rest is the DELICIOUS mashed potato. Probably one of the nicest mashed potato that I've tried. Everyone also agreed that it's really delicious.
Meat Pies (175 pesos alone) with Mashed Potato (250 pesos) - Another must try! Everything was homemade.
The crust of the pie was perfectly flaky and crispy!
And the innards? They didn't skimp on ingredients! Look how meaty is that pie!
Fish and Chips (250 pesos) - Surely stunned all of us! It's the mother of all the fish and chips! Since they are serving British foods, expect that the serving size was huge. That's the biggest fish fillet I've ever seen! Boyfie thought that it was whole coated fish (because it does shaped like a fish at all)
But inside were purely a fresh fillet. You can even see how thick is their fish on their fillet!
Not just coating, but a legit fish inside. haha!
Braised Lamb Shank (585 pesos) - Definitely my favorite that night! Really tender lamb in a creamy savory sauce. You don't even need a knife to cut this one. Every bite is worth it. Make sure to get this one on your next visit!
Baby Back Ribs (prices may vary) - Super love the color combination of this dish. Really pleasant to the eyes! hehe! The prices on their ribs may vary since it depends on the size of the delivery each day.
You may also ask them to slice the ribs for you! :)
Feeling fancy over the day? Why not grab your friends to have a tea party? This Knights Bridge Tea Set (199 pesos) - is made up of 2 sultanas scones with whipped butter and jam, 1 puffin, 1 caramel bar / mini cupcake and a pot of tea.
The very kind and jolly owner of The Royal Piccadilly Ms. Chello, was hands on during our stay.
She taught us how to use the tea set timer, really cool! :D
This is the timer of the tea set. Depending on the type of tea, corresponds a number
of seconds where you will let the tea sets for a while.
Apart from the scones and puffins that was served, why not pair it up with this adorable Rainbow Cake? (125/slice)
We also got the chance to taste their Butter Beer. It actually tasted like what I expected.
Soda infused with Caramel! :D
And how about these adorable cupcakes perfect for giveaways? (Hazelnut Raspberry Reindeer, Hot Chocolate, Earl Grey Christmas Tree, Red Velvet Holly, Chocolate Marshmallow Snowman, Frozen Vanilla) Really cute! :)
Another personal favorite of mine is this Puffins! (Chocolate and Cream, Dark Chocolate & Brandy Cream, Strawberry and Cream, Orange Cointreau & Dark Chocolate)

Exquisite Japanese Foods by Teriyaki Boy + GIVEAWAY! :)

Probably one of the most loved Japanese Restaurant that truly captured the taste buds of Filipino is Teriyaki Boy. Who wouldn't anyway? From the wide variety of their menu down to the lip smacking foods they offer! Especially that they revamped their store and now they are part of Max's Group Inc.
Have you tried visiting their store lately? You'll surely notice the posh yet comfy interiors they have. The warm colored lights give the place a cozier look! Look at that awesome engraved Teriyaki Boy board!
Tempura Tuna Tartare (155 pesos) - Diced tuna sashimi with Japanese mayo and tempura flakes. If you love sashimi then, better include this on your list.
Sashimi Salad (299 pesos) - A crisp veggies with sesame soy dressing with cubes of Norwegian Salmon and Yellowfin Tuna. I also loved the crisp kani strips on top to give it more texture!
Okonomiyaki (88 pesos) - It's actually like the Takoyaki we can see in a mall, but in a classier way. This one was served as a pancake, with their special batter that has veggies and squid then drizzled off with Japanese Mayo and bonito flakes. This one is really addicting and I didn't expect I would get hooked on this one. Crispy on the outside yet soft and chunky on the inside!
Dragon Maki (399 pesos) - I honestly tried this because I was fascinated by the presentation on the menu. And it really looked so lovely! savory roll of breaded shrimp covered with sushi rice, topped with grilled eel and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Now you know it's not all about the appearance, the food will speak for itself!
Teriyaki Boy Chicken Maki (289 pesos) - The famous Teriyaki Boy Chicken is now in roll! 2 in 1 goodness to please our hungry appetite! The only challenge on this one is how will you eat this in one bite I'm telling you, it's really huge!
Chikuwa Fish Tempura (219 pesos) - I find this one actually a unique dish. Fish covered in a batter filled with cheese. The texture of the fish is not the usual tender fish, since this one is on the chewy side. Some didn't enjoy it like I do, but if you like the combination of fish and cheese, then go for this. Best to be eaten when it's hot to appreciate the gooey cheese in the middle.
Teriyaki Boy Chicken (214 pesos) - I'm sure even if I don't introduce this dish you are all familiar with this one. The best seller in the house! Tender and flavorful chicken with their rich savory sauce!
Gyu Don (314 pesos) - Thinly sliced beef stir-fried with special Teriyaki Boy sauce, topped with raw egg and sesame seeds, laid on a bed of steamed Japanese rice. I wasn't able to try this one but tell me, who can resist stir-fried beef anyway? hehe!
Wafu Steak (366 pesos) - Diced beef tossed in butter and garlic plus teppanyaki sauce served with sesame moyashi (bean sprouts)! I also loved this dish since I'm forever a fan of butter and garlic combination. Simple dish yet brings out the natural flavor of the steak. nom!
Beef Tataki (499 pesos) - Seared wafu steak on a bed of enoki mushroom. (You can never go wrong with enoki mushrooms!) Somewhat similar to the previous dish but this one was served with gorgeous mushrooms. You can also asked to cook the meat according to your preference. But better go for medium rare to enjoy the full flavors of the steak! :)
Moving on with the dessert, there's a happy birthday song on my back. I swear, I honestly didn't know that it was for me, since I thought it was for the other bloggers birthday so I just keep on enjoying my thing, but to my surprised, it was for me! HUHUHU. GAWD. I'm so touched! They told us that it's for my birthday and for our celebration with our recent engagement as well. Aren't they are the sweetest? :">
Mango Bavarian (79 pesos)* - A dessert that is in-between of pana cotta and gelatine. A creamy mango dessert with mango bits inside, topped with whipped cream and mango sauce. Really such a sweet ending! :)
Green Tea Jelly (69 pesos)* - Green Tea gelatin with whipped cream and adzuki beans. Try to eat altogether in one bite, it's actually good!
Mango Tempura with Vanilla Ice Cream (229 pesos) - Another unique offering in Teriyaki Boy. Mango slices that were coated in tempura batter, then drizzled with chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Fried Dessert, why not? :D
Green Tea Milk Shake (125 pesos) - Oh boy. I will never forget this drink. And take note, you might even wonder since I don't like green tea flavor foods/drinks at all. But this one is purely exceptional. If ever there's a green tea stuff that I will take, it will surely be this one. It has a creamy, milky texture on a mellow flavored green tea with bits of atzuki beans that is perfectly delicious when you mixed it!
