Suppliers Review: Shakers Big Punch 808 Mobile Bar

Somebody told us before that in Wedding preparations, 90% of the time, it is the bride who do most of the tasks, while the 10% will be for the groom. I bet because us ladies are naturally born as OC. We want everything organized and hands on with the preparations. In all fairness, not sure because I am a blogger but I do enjoy searching and scouting google all the time! But I'm ALWAYS consulting Aldrin with every decisions with regards to the preparation. If he disapproves or he doesn't like it, then we'll move to the next one until both of us agrees. He's not very particular with the suppliers at all, but his only request is to have Mobile Bar! Hahah! Finally! Look who's talking now!!! :)
I've checked online and there is one popular mobile bar in wedding industry. I checked their rates and for some reason, we don't find it reasonable. Maybe because they are well known already? But at the same time, we don't want to book as easy as that since we don't want to sacrifice the fun at the reception at all. So I checked again and ask for recommendations at w@w group for a reliable yet much affordable than the previous one. They recommend us Shakers Big Punch 808. I inquired with them and had the initial Alcohol Testing at their place in Quezon City. If I remember it right, it's not really the area they usually do the Alcohol testing. It's just that, it's the only time that we can squeeze in to our hectic schedule so we just grab the chance.
These are just the sample of alcohols that they are using during the events. They even have unopened bottles but we decided not to get it anymore since anyway, it's just an Alcohol tasting only.  The owner Ryan is very nice and polite. He is also prompt and responsive all throughout our exchanges of emails.
He even showed us this Red Bacardi that is rare to be find in the Metro. True enough since these hard core drinkers with me that time said that it's their first time seeing a Red Bacardi.
Since I'm not drinking at all, I let Aldrin, my brother Christian, and his best friend Johnell to do the alcohol tasting. Shakers Big Punch 808 has lots of shooters, mocktails and cocktails to choose from. We were asked for the level of the alcohols that they are going to serve (Light, Moderate, Hard). We instructed them to serve light drinks on the first hour of the program (since we don't want our guest to throw up just when we arrived from our post nup. HAHAHA!) Then later serve the hard drinks at the end part.
From the 25 mixes that they have have, they agreed that TBT is their favorite. (Will not tell you the mixes though. Hehe!) They instructed them to bring lots of TBT during the reception since it will be a sure hit. True enough, it became a crowds favorite! Though I was a bit disappointed when I was informed that the TBT is not available anymore in the middle of the program. :(
Ryan also offered us a free Flamers during the reception. I told Aldrin to give it a shot since it's impossible for him to try it on the reception itself. Hehe!
What makes us booked them anyway? Usually, other mobile bars offers their service for a particular hour, then it's over. Whereas with Shakers Big Punch 808 Mobile Bar, it's a free flowing for 5 hours. The mobile bar also comes with complete bar set up with laser and strobe lights, 3 professional bar tenders and 1 waiter that will roam around the reception to offer drinks to your guest which I personally liked since it will be easier for our guest if they are feeling lazy to go the the mobile bar.

Let me share you some of the pictures :)

 Cheers! :)
See the two familiar faces at the back? Hahah! I think they already get their chairs and seated beside the bartenders. Hahaha. They initially ordered 10 TBT in a snap!
@ Apple Lopez
 My gorgeous ladies! :)
I was so pleased to see that everyone enjoyed the mobile bar. It's such a hit with our guests!
If you're gonna ask me. Will I recommend them? ABSOLUTELY! I believed that you don't have to spend that much where you can get a more affordable one, yet offering the same quality and wonderful products. All you have to do is to look around. I am really glad that I discovered them through w@w! Just like Aldrin and I discussed, they are the most "super na sulit" supplier that we've got! Hehe!  Thank you so much Shakers Big Punch 808 Mobile Bar for being part of our special day!

Suppliers Review: Photobooth (2) | Flipbooks

Apart from the Photobooth that we have (which you can see on the previous post) Aldrin and I wanted to have Flipbook. Basically, Flipbook is not common on events since it's usually a Photo booth alone. We don't want to show off, but what we want is our guests to remember and enjoy the most special day in our lives. To be honest, I don't even know that this thing exists until I attended my cousin's wedding way back 2014. And we both find it unique and cool!
So what's Flipbooks anyway? Flipbooks is a photobooth service in a continuous shots. Instead of posing steadily, you have to move around in seconds. It will take around 10 seconds while your guests goof around and having fun to have their personalized creative clips.
I have to commend the team behind Flipbooks. To tell you frankly, from the moment that we booked them a year ago during Bridal Fair, because of the busy schedules that we have, especially I am not in Philippines during that time, I didn't send them any emails, updates, or whatsoever with them. I only contacted them 2 days before the wedding. Would you believed that? Haha!
@ Mik Mik Crisostomo

I realized that I need to send them an HD photo that they are going to use as a cover on the Flipbook. When I sent the photo to them, just a couple of minutes they sent me this layout for my approval. I was really impressed how prompt they are, especially handling a client like us. Hahaha!
I was really pleased to see our guests lining up at the Flipbooks and wondering what is it all about. Once they had their own Flipbooks, they must've enjoyed it a lot because they had number of trips on creating their clips! Would you believed that my nephew had 7 flipbooks? Sulit na sulit sa kanya pa lang! Haha!
(Pardon for the low quality video)

True to their tagline, Flipbooks indeed makes your party more fun and your guests will surely remember! Thank you so much Flipbooks by Flip Production for being part of our special day!

Suppliers Review: Photobooth (1) | The Photogroupy

Photo booth is usually a must now in a wedding. Not just on a wedding but almost on every special gathering, there is a Photobooth. Admit it, Filipinos are such a photo maniacs! We love to capture every single time and embrace the moments! Photobooths is something that we can actually skip on our expenses since there's a lot of good friends that approached us that they can offer us their services for free. (Thank you guys!)
But I have to turn them down the moment that I saw my college friend's Photo Booth Services ---
The Photogroupy. Even Aldrin were telling that we can cut down the expenses if we accept others' kind offerings. But when I showed him the Photogroupy's services, he realized why I wanted to book them as our supplier so bad.
The Photogroupy is not your ordinary photobooth if you were to ask me. It's an elevated photo booth services that will turn your events into a classy one. Not to mention the custom made Instagram-like monitor screen that they have, personalized back drop and sanitized props that you can use. But that's not really the main reason why.
Aldrin and I were firm to our decision that we don't want our face to be plastered on the print out souvenirs. Why? How can you supposed to put the picture let's say on your planner, wallets or give it to your special someone if the couple's face is right there? No offense to others ah, but that is just OUR plain preference. We just want ours to have a simple name on it, then that's perfect to us.

 They have the Polaroid Style..

Film Strips..

You may opt for the Classic one..

Or better yet, contact them if you have something on your mind and let them design. Mind you, Meg (one of the owner) is on top of our class during our college days. And I can assure you that she's really good in this craft.
We specifically liked the Polaroid one. Isn't it lovely? See how tired yet happy we are on the picture? HAHA! Going back, we've heard praises over their photo booth! I have friends that asked me their contact numbers because they said that it's cute and one of a kind. :)
Even the "Young at Hearts" were really game in flashing their smiles!
The Photogroupy has different packages that will surely suites your taste.
The package that we've got comes with a Dedication book. Basically the photo comes in two. One will be for your guest, while the other one will be placed on the dedication book as your souvenir as a couple. Isn't it lovely? :)
Upon reaching home and reading the messages from the dedication book, we were so happy when I saw the dedication and written by my little niece and nephews. Maybe wedding high but I got teary eyed. Hehe! 100% sure that your guests will be completely satisfied if you get them as your supplier.

Suppliers Review : Wedding Souvenirs (2) | Choco Yema Cupcakes by Kim is Hungry

Prior to my previous post, Aldrin and I decided to have another souvenirs for our guests! (Because we love them so much and we are 'matakaw' like that!). Remember Kim is Hungry Cakes that I have blogged over and over before? (See here) Kim and I started out as total strangers. I just ordered her cupcakes, then followed by frequent visits when she managed to have a physical store already at Angono, Rizal.
For the benefit of the new readers. Kim is Hungry doesn't limit her products on cupcakes alone. She offers variants of cakes, pasta, sandwiches and rice meals. Couple of months back, they released Mexican offerings with partnership with her Boyfriend. I won't be surprised if they open another branch sooner or later. Moving on, from the varieties of products that she is selling, I always see to it to buy her Choco Yema Cupcake on every visit.

During Valentine's Day...

 Christmas Season..

Or even Easter Sunday! (Or anyday inbetween that I'm having PMS)
We ordered 130 pieces Choco Yema cupcakes to give to our guests. Just like what I've said to Kim, it's so good that I want all of our guests to taste how great is her Choco Yema cupcake!
That's why even though we already have souvenirs to give out, we promised ourselves to include this as well. Who wouldn't? Extremely soft chocolate cake topped with butter cream frosting and gooey yema toppings in the middle. You may think that it's too sweet isn't it? But you're wrong. It's perfectly sweet and addicting!
Though we didn't see each other personally that time Kim, here's our 2015 picture! haha! Thank you so much for being part of our special day. With that warm and bubbly personality of yours, I'm excited to see how far your business will go and I will forever be your fan especially your Choco Yema cupcakes!

For inquiry, orders or you are just plainly hungry. Visit her page here.

Suppliers Review : Wedding Souvenirs (1) | Twisted Candy!

Wedding giveaway is something that Aldrin and I didn't experienced any problems at all. Maybe because both of us were sure that we don't want the traditional giveaways that you can put as a display in your cabinet. Edible souvenirs such as cupcakes are getting more and more famous not just in weddings but also in debuts, baptismal or corporate events.
3 years ago, I blogged this candy store with the name of Twisted Candy (See full post here). It's basically a flavored candies with different cute designs that you can customize. Fast forward to the discussion with Aldrin regarding the souvenirs, we instantly thought of having a personalized candy with our initials on it!
They have different packages based on the designs and number of characters that you prefer. It's really an effortless transaction that I had with them (Hi Bea!  ) I just messaged them in Facebook > Contact them in Viber for faster transaction > Paid them and viola! We already have souvenirs! Would you believed that it's only been three days before the wedding that we had the souvenirs? It's such a hectic schedule for us and I finalized everything with them too late, but they still managed to meet the deadline that I have given to them even on such a short notice. Good job guys!
Take Note: We didn't even go to their physical store. Everything happened via Viber. I instructed them the design, flavor and characters that we want (They even sent a sample hue of the color that I want so they can execute what is exactly on my mind) then the sent me this sketch for my approval. I swear, our conversation is really flawless!

The time that we only dropped by their store in Robinsons Galleria (my chosen branch since it's nearer to my place) is when we are about to pick up our candies. I was so happy when they gave us this free big lolly! Such a sweet gesture!

But that's not all! The also gave us free packs of candies as a bonus. Yay!
To make it more personalized we put a tag saying "Thanks for sweeten' up our day!" #punny haha! So if you are reading this right now and having a hard time deciding, then worry no more. This is the perfect giveaways that you can give to your guests. Unique, Classy and Personalized. Oh, did I mentioned that they are more affordable than their competitors but with superb and superior quality? Take it from me, you won't regret getting them.

Thank you so much Twisted Candy for being part of our special day! :)

Wedding 101: Coordinator Meet Up @ Le Petit Souffle!

When I'm here in Malaysia, there's gazillions (okay I'm exaggerating here) of restaurants sprouting like mushrooms! I'm so envy seeing my blogger friends hopping from one restaurants to another. One of the restaurant that I remembered is Le Petit Souffle.
Le Petit Souffle is located in Century Mall in Makati. I originally thought that this is located inside Hole in a Wall. HAHA! They offer French-Japanese cuisine with notable presentation.
The place is huge, hip and classy. Instagram worthy shot from every corner.
From the walls..
Sigh! Up to the ceiling is such a delight for photo addicts out there!
Let's now start from the serious part! Aldrin ordered this Pork Bourguignon (425 pesos). Carbo loading with this one complete meal. Fragrant Japanese right underneath, topped with red wine braised pork leg, with assortment of mushrooms, bacons, potatoes and carrots plus a sunny side up egg on the middle. This dish is really enjoyable especially for a rice lover like Aldrin. Every bite is scrumptious and delightful!
Foie Gras Mac n' Cheese (625 pesos) - Oh dear Lord. This dish in front of you is worth every calories! The mac n' cheese can stand the dish on its own. Very flavorful and cheesy! Plus the Foie Gras on top? MEEEEEN! I was really controlling myself because the wedding day is coming!
You know that this place don't skimp on ingredients at all! This dish is really heavy. It's so sinful that I find it too cloying already.#sorrynotsorry though!
Valrhona Guanaja Souffle (350 pesos) - Made up of 70% Dark Chocolate served with Vanilla Creme Anglaise. Wasn't able to try this because me and Aldrin were really shy to asked our coordinator to share with her. haha! But it looked good and worth the 20 minutes wait! This is a perfect souffle! (Learned it from Gordon Ramsay! haha!)
Pleased to introduced you with our wedding coordinator Joed of Joed See Events. You might wonder why there are (or there will be NO wedding 101: Coordinator Hunting) on this blog. I first hand met and noticed Joed and her team, during my cousin's wedding. And from that very moment, I knew that WE.ARE.GOING.TO.BOOK.THEM! I may be biased with this one, since I didn't bothered looking for other Weeding Coordinators around but booking them is the greatest decision we made. Can't wait to share with all of you the wedding suppliers review. Stay tuned! :)
